Spices & Seasonings to Boost Coffees & Smoothies

Long before they were used in the culinary world, spices, herbs and plants were used throughout history for their medicinal purposes. Science has proven the many health benefits of spices and herbs.

At The Acoffeecary Shop, we infuse spices and herbs into our coffees and smoothies to boost health benefits and flavor. Here are a few of our favorites you can add to any of our drinks.

Tumeric Infused Latte or Smoothie:

Add to a latte for an earthy-sweet flavor. This spice is often used in curry’s and gives a yellow/orange color to what is is added to.

  • Pain management

Cardamon Infused Latte or Smoothie:

  • Aids gas, bloating and stomach cramps
  • Naturally freshens breathe
  • May help manage blood pressure and diabetes

Cinnamon Infused Latte or Smoothie:

A popular spice, cinnamon is found in many recipes and baked goods. Blended smoothly with our coffees it adds a woodsy, sweet and savory flavor.

  • Can lower blood sugar and fasting blood sugars by 10-29% in diabetic patients

(Diabetes Obes Metab. 2009 Dec;11(12):1100-13. doi: 10.1111/j.1463-1326.2009.01094.x.)

Ginger Infused Latte or Smoothie:

This popular spice is chosen by many as an alternative medicine for many ailments. It adds a spicy, sweet flavor to smoothies and a slight “kick” to our lattes.

(Br J Anaesth. 2000 Mar;84(3):367-71., Pak J Biol Sci. 2011 Jul 1;14(13):715-9.)
